Chuckles Mission Statement
To provide a happy and secure environment where the children in our care can develop the skills required for life.
Our Core Values
Children are to be fed healthily and an active lifestyle encouraged.
Children are to be encouraged to participate in day to day activities in order to develop their self esteem, self confidence and independence. The children and team are encouraged to think and care about out environment by way of recycling products that we use each day.
History of Chuckles
Chuckles Nursery opened its doors on the 8th November 1999, and has been growing from strength to strength ever since. We were initially registered for 26, increasing to 37 in 2003 and then to 53 in 2005. Although numbers have increased we still keep group numbers small to ensure the quality care that we built our reputation on, remains
The Building
Chuckles interior provides a surrounding of interesting colours and shapes to stimulate your child's mind into action from the moment you step in through the door. All rooms have the bonus of large windows to ensure a light and airy feel and are individually decorated with colourful artwork and displays of the children's work.
The Grounds
The grounds we have here at Chuckles really can't be beaten.
Set in an acre of land, we are well away from main roads and immediate pollution, with surrounding wildlife such as squirrels and horses being an added treat. The car park is located to the front of the building with unobstructed car parking for at least 20 cars. There is also a large sheltered entrance porch for those rainy days.
The outside areas are split to ensure the children have a variety of experiences.
Patio Area - For bikes, games, prams etc
Decking - Specifically for the younger children
Sensory Garden - A large grassed open space, has huts made from willow trees and areas where the children can play, explore, plant seeds to watch them grow, and make music.
Adventure Playground - Large adventure playground with slide, monkey bars and fireman's pole incorporated. We also have swings nearby for the babies.
Through out the year, our team at Chuckles will endeavour to ensure the children have as much fresh air as possible. In the summer months, many of the activities take place outside in the grounds.
C.C.T.V. Monitored Inside and Out
All of our grounds are well secured with access only through the building.
The main playrooms at Chuckles are monitored by 11 CCTV cameras with another 4 covering the grounds, recording the day to day routine. We hope this can in a way show you how confident we are in our team and what they do. The monitor is in the main office where it can be observed.
